Another Mod 29, 10 5/8 barrel

I picked up another Model 29 today. I have never seen or heard of one like this. The heavy barrel is 10 5/8 inches. The front sight is strange, with 4 sunken pins in a square, numbered 1,2,3,4. You can change the front blade height by lifting the front of the sight, and turning a wheel with numbers corresponding to the pin numbers.
The rear sight is a standard Smith adjustable. The barrel is pinned. The finish is almost perfect. The guy I bought it from had it stored in an old tube sock. He says he bought it second hand about 20 years back. The price to carry it home was $300.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this Mod. 29?

Saxon,
It is indeed, a 29-3. At the range today, with the 240 grain Hornady JHP over 16 grains of BlueDot, I was able to keep three shot groups under 2 inches.
I have not shot metallic silhouette in years, but I think this one would work well at that game. That long barrel does help with sighting, and the weight keeps the sights steady.

Made @ from 83-91. Product Code 101202. Can be a -3 (83), -4 (88, early models marked 29-3E for endurance package), or -5 (90). First ones had N prefix serial numbers which changed when three letter serial number prefixes started being used during a changeover period of 80-83..
