my norinco 12 pump was a mistake to purchase (but i was impatient and didnt want to wait for the 870's to come in) so when i load a shell in every 10 shells or so it tries to load a shell and a "half" ive tried keeping the magazine loaded for a couple days but didnt want to hurt the spring itself as well....any ideas???

Sounds like you may have a bur on your shell interrupter. If you turn the gun upside down and look inside the receiver, there is a little "finger" that sits slightly outward in the way of the next shell in the magazine tube. This is what holds the shells in when you load them. I had this happen on an 870 one time. The interrupter sits in a groove in the receiver, and it had a bur on it that made it hang up in the groove sometimes. I took it out and broke all the edges with a file, then touched it up with a cold blue pen. No more problems.
