I have been offered a free revolver if I am willing to fund a repair on it. the owner says it is a "Columbia" brand 38 cal revolver with a six inch barrel. He says the firing pin is broken and will need to be repaired. I've never heard of a Columbia brand handgun. Can anyone elighten me?

There doesn't appear to be anything Googleable about this gun. A picture or more details would help. As long as it is not an RG and it's free why not take it? If it costs more to repair than it's worth you can junk it. What's to lose? You could end up with a rare collectable or a cheap barter piece for a box of .22's. Wish I could be more help.
