Because of the rotary magazine, only a light crimp is necessary. Only enough to keep the bullet from setting back in cartridges in the magazine when the weapon is fired.
You can also use spire point bullets in the rotary magazine. If there is any danger of the spire point cartridges you load being used in a weapon with a tubeular magazine, USE GREAT CAUTION. Since the spire point is aligned against the primer of the next cartridge, there can be catastrophic ignition of the cartridges in the tube magazine.

Light crimp, nothing like needed for a tube mag.

Thanks for the help. I guess I will order the lee FCD for it tonight.
ADDED: I was also wondering if anybody had any Idea of which dies to get for M99 in 300 savage. I havent reloaded for any lever guns yet and most of my rifle dies are RCBS. I was looking and found that there are regular and small base dies for this caliber. What would be better? For the price of the small base RCBS would I just be better off getting Hornady or redding or someother brand?

As I understand, the small base RCBS dies are not available in 300 Savage. In my loading experieces with 99's, I have neither used them, nor found the necessity to use them.
Why the factory crimp die? It won't hurt as long as the crimp is applied lightly, but the RCBS dies already have a crimp that should be sufficient.

Midway has them.http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=425560
If they arent going to make much of a difference I'll just get the reg ones for the price difference.

I guess your right. I wasnt thinking about that since I never crimp any of my rifle and I have crimp dies for my pistols. I just thought crimp, need a crimp die.
Thanks again for your help.
