I'm getting together some items for reloading .30-06 for my Garand and I'm looking for bullets. Local Sportsmans Warehouse has 100 150gn FMJBT at $22 Seems high to me, can this be found elsewhere for less?

147 gr. Original application is 7.62mm NATO Ball M80. This is a FMJBT Spitzer. Ball M80 These bullets are collet pulled (no marks), polished, and magnetic. This final lot is some of the nicest I've had.
Non-magnetic (when availale) is $10/M additional.
$10/C; $80/M
152 gr. Original application is Cal. 30 Ball M2 (.30-06). These are a flat base Spitzer, Ball M2 mostly from 1972 LC ammo, with GMCS (magnetic) jackets, and are collet pulled with no marks and polished. Non-magnetic (when availale) is $10/M additional.
$8/C; $70/M; $260/4M
+ Same as above except machine pulled (light pull marks); have been sized and polished to insure roundness and correct loading. Mixed lots, but will do just fine for plinking.
$7/C; $55/M; $200/4M

Here's one place for bulk bullets: tntreloading.com
They advertise Hornady 150 fmjbt 500/$54.99. Check to make sure they have them in stock before ordering. TNT has been a reliable company to deal with.

Not to me. The GI pulldown stuff is for blasting & not for a bench rest match. It sure is good for cheap shooting & with the right loads in your Garand it should shoot better than GI Ammo durning the era of your rifle.....Creeker

Hi Tech Ammo is another good place, but they are out of the 150's right now. I buy the 147's from them at less than $.05 in quantity.
Google "hi tech ammo intranet"

You don't need to limit yourself to 150's. The rifle was designed to use 172 grain bullets, not 150's. 165 grain hunting bullets give the best hunting accuracy. 168 grain match grade bullets. Both using IMR4064.
