Yes... hollywood question.

Two pistols alternating... and can you hit anything at all?

I tried it today ... and yes I did hit the backstop of the range... but that is about it. Felt very wierd...and the wife thought I was nuts... Little does she realise.

:)

Last weekend. Terrible aim, I was in too much hurry to re-aim each one. I hit the target (a small tree at 65 ft or so) maybe 3-5 times out of 23 rounds in 5 or 6 secs.:(

But no sane person would wanna take their chances downrange either. :neener:

I have done it with reasonable accuracy, but you don't try to shoot both guns at once. Fire one, and while recocking it point the other toward the target, and pick up and hold a sight picture (which most two-gun shooters don't do). Pull the trigger, and then reaim the first revolver while cocking the second one. Repeat as necessary. Go slow as you start, and pick up speed as you go along.

Turn one gun upside down and position it so that the sights are just above the sights on the lower gun. You will be able to get a proper sight picture with both guns. It's strange, but it worksssssssssssssssssss!;) Impresses the daylights outa people as well. :D Mick.

No, and I don't hold them sideways either. :neener:

Seriously though, I have a hard enough time when practicing left handed. I'd never hit anything with one in each hand.

Give it a go, you will be amazed, as the guns come together, you suddenly get a double sight picture, both foresights as clear as a bell, just like a normal sight picture, but with another set of sights in focus, just above it. No real useful for anything apart from just being able to do it or impress your frinds.

SASS has the Gunfighter division, in which you draw both sixguns and fire them alternately but not simultaneously. I have seen some good shooting done that way.

Tried two gun shooting before, the loading lever dropping on the Walker after the first shot sent me back to single gun pretty quick :banghead:  :D

If you turned the one gun upside down and held it above the other gun....wouldn't they recoil into each other? Are you pulling the trigger with your pinky? or is this a joke and I'm not getting it?

I seem to have the knowledge that I have done so and the results were so awful that I never tried it again. I don't remember the specific event though.

I've never tried this particular method, but it's not a joke. Ed. McGivern is shown in his book, Fast & Fancy Revolver Shooting, shooting this way.

"Badlands Bud" (http://www.jspublications.net/records/BudGF195.wmv) (fastest there is right now)

Or for us geezers... "Widowmaker Hill" (http://www.jspublications.net/records/GFWidowmaker2.13.wmv)

Hey Spectre...

Old Geezer kicked his butt. .53
the kid did .68 for first shot.

(not saying that I could do any of that)

Are these guys shooting at a large close target?
I heard that ping.

I once had an AR-15 in one hand and a Mini-14 in the other, both with 30 round mags, rapid-fire. I was able to hit a milk jug about 10 feet in front of me.

Once.

If they were following the standard for a "stand and deliver" they were shooting a 16" steel target at 7 yards.

Oh ok, I got ya.
I was only referring to the first shot with Widowmaker Hill there. Not trying to make a big deal. I was just thinking that if they were shooting at each other and accuracy was good, that'd be the end of it. Actually, I suppose that by my own line of reasoning they'd both lose. That was freakin fast.

I went to the other site and was really wowed by those guys. That shotgun stuff with those guys loading from over the top of those 97s was mind boggling.

I don't think I'll be doing any of that any time soon.

I HAVE done some 2 gun stuff at my local range with sa's. I really need to train my left hand a little.

 :what: That is bloody quick.... however the guns from the lack of sound would appear to be lightly loaded...
