Now I need help! What reloading manual do you reccomend, and what else do I absolutely have to have such as a powder scale and other accessories. Thankyou for any help

I started with a MEC 700 Versamec, RCBS Scale, and The Handbook of Shotshell Reloading. .Authored by Kenneth Cougar. I added to this as time went on.
I still have and use these BTW.
I used the recipes from Winchester little booklet, because I wanted to duplicate the AA loads. The first recipe in a given load matches the Win load btw.

Powders have changed,( started with 452AA -I think)- but the last 20 K skeet loads I loaded for 12 ga. were 1 1/8 oz, 2 3/4 dr.eq, HARD #8 shot matching the superlight load IIRC I used 18.5 gr. of Superlight pwder, Win,primers. [great dove load btw]

You will need safety glasses, scale, bushings , bottles for powders and shot, charge bars. Just because a recipe "says" this bushing is fo rthat weight -always measure to be sure. TIP: write powder, shot size onto paper and put inside bottle( labels fall off, blurr...etc.). If your are doing a load Tape that recipe so at a glance you recall what ou last did. Actually not a bad idea to write recipe and drop into powder bottle, if that pwdr only used for a particular load.

Measure thrice, drop once, if not sure check again. ERR on side of caution.

Congrats and have fun!!

73 has given you some golden advise. One thing I would advise is a "universal" shot and powder bar, otherwise you will end up spending lots more money on bushings that never throw the right charge and charge bars you don't break........

Buy the universal once and be done with bushings and bars.

I started with the Hodgdon manual, loved it. ANY good manual will get you going.

HSMITH...but one has to rationalize all those plastic boxes to put stuff in... your taking out all the fun...;)

Jeff D, good advice from H...but still buy plastic boxes, I'd hate to think your work area is more clutter free than , well you know
