I finally had a day off and took the B-gun to PGC for some much needed exercise and claycrushing. The weather was good, not too cold and sunny. Could have used a bit more wind to make the clays dance.
The 500 rounds or so I've put through the Beretta have taught it to point correctly, I'm pleased to report. It found the right line repeatedly and many of the hits were as solid as any of us can want.
The cast off stock has changed my form slightly. Many of us shooting castless stocks have the habit of tilting the head slightly to get the master eye in the right place. With the cast off stock, my head is not tilted off vertical, IMO a good thing. I note that the two shotguns I've had with cast were great pointers.
The triggers have improved, though still a little heavier than I prefer. Another 500 rounds and I'll grease the contact surfaces like Will Fennell suggests. I'll let them work polish in a bit first.
Tweaks so far are the Limbsaver pad which needed tape to cover the sticky sides and a Hi Viz F/O Green Worm bead. This is the smallest of the worms and hasn't proved distracting.
With the pad, LOP is just at 15". This seems a good length for me, Number 6 is also 15" and fits well.
Total weight is right at 8 lbs if my kitchen scale is legit. Kick is still a little more than my 870s, but certainly bearable.
Definitely a keeper...
