I saw a pistol at the local gun shop that was fired with a bullet stuck in the chamber. Man oh Man!!! This guy was lucky to have not gotten hurt. I will post pics of it, if the gun shop owner will allow me to take a pic or two Monday. You guys got any?

Well phooey!
I'm between places and can't find, or post from here.
Anyway, Double chg (we think) blew busted grips and set off chain reaction. BBL ok, wrecked mag ( of course) in a SA. Minor work on bbl ( link) polish chamber. slide and frame needed nicks out.
Beretta 92, blew, squib load and guy pulled trigger-again...no good.
A couple of Glock .40 Kbooms .
Newer Smith Revolver, case blew, chain reaction, all 6 cyls went off, hand surgies, topstrap gone, chunck of chamber missing. "someone elses handloads" Never shoot what you don't know.
I also had on shotgun bbls --3 Beretta bbls that blew and 2 Benelli
Beretta 2 were waterfowlers, 1 a steel game. Split- bulged out to as mush a 4.5 " in dia.
Benellis both in 3gun/steel plate, lost front 8-10" of bbl, splitered and split like in a cartoon.

ToxicTodd's picture is of a Stainless steel, fully supported aftermarket barrel. What ever blew it had little to do with the gun and probably a lot to do with an over or double charge, possibly a squib followed by a good round.

I've had two sqibbs over the years. Glad I knew enough to stop when it didn't feel right.
These were made by the same company. My local range stopped using them because of this. PM me for the name of the company if you wish. They are cheap and very alluring but are bad stuff.
I talked to the company and was told that there was no way their stuff was bad.
Go figure.

Search The Firing Line (http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/index.php?) using "Kaboom" in your search and you'll find plenty of pictures.

Somehow or another the scope on my Mossberg 351K wouldn't hold in one point after 50 years of use.
Pissed me off. Then I realized the scope was fine, the barrel had a bulge in it. :( Something must have gotten stuck and then blasted out.
I REALLY miss that gun
