I have an Ithaca M37 20ga with serial #964741. Can anyone help me with a Mfg date and value. Also, this is my first shotgun, Is this a decent gun? Duck and Phesant hunting? Thanks in advance!!

Your M37 was built in 1966. These mid/late 60's guns were probably the Golden Age for M37's. Barrels were interchangeable, and extremely strong due to the Roto-forging process, and the build quality was at it's best.

If you ever decide you think it's a stinker, my address is... :neener:
The older Ithaca shotguns are outstanding. You'll find that the bottom feed/eject feature is nice in a duck blind. No port on the side to freeze over. The more you shoot it, the more you'll like it. If not, my address....

How could I not love it? It's nice having something a little more interesting than an 870.
