Babarsac January 28, 2007, 04:09 PM About a month and a half ago I ordered a rifle stock and some SKS stripper clips from Impactguns. I got the rifle stock but the stripper clips are on back order. I've sent a few emails asking when they would be availible, but I haven't gotten a reply in over a month!
I'm wondering if I should just cancel my order and look elsewhere?
Has anyone else had this problem with Impactguns? Or did I do something bad in a past life.

Spreadfire Arms January 28, 2007, 05:26 PM i had to track down a wayward silencer a few months ago that they sent to my old FFL address (one i hadn't been at in over a year). the ATF approved Form 3 had my current FFL address and they had that FFL address on file as well. it was an obvious error on their part. for my trouble they sent me a baseball cap.
PvtPyle January 28, 2007, 08:08 PM I don't know what is up with delivery times on products, but they sure are pissed at us. We have taken a lot of business away from them, from high dollar customers to the State body armor contract for Point Blank Armor. But that should tell people something.
Babarsac January 29, 2007, 01:24 PM Well I went ahead and sent an email to cancel my order. CDNN has what I want in stock and ready to ship :)
imprezagm4 January 29, 2007, 01:28 PM I think I recall a thread on TFL about awful service from impactguns. Ordered some stuff, that was out of stock for a year and a half, and just jerked this guy around until he canceled the order.
BigBlock January 29, 2007, 04:50 PM Those *******s ruined my christmas. I ordered presents for three people and myself, all clearly said IN STOCK. I asked them to please ship as soon as possible so they would get here in time. I get a call two days later, "uh, you know those aren't in stock right?". Dumbass....
They were still nice enough to charge my credit card AFTER I canceled the order.
PvtPyle January 29, 2007, 05:00 PM How is it then that they still do so much business? There seems to be all manner of pi$$ed people that have had a bad experience with them. We misplace one file, delay an order and even though we offer free product as a way of saying sorry and we get trashed all over the net! Yet there seems to be no end of upset customers and they still do a ton of business. :banghead: WTFO?
Roccobro January 29, 2007, 07:09 PM I know I've been smitten with their website. All those pretty Class III stuff, with the prices listed to boot! Maybe if they are cool enough to flaunt their machineguns, we would be lucky if they let us do business with them.
I've wanted to stop by one day on a vacation to see if they are as "cool" in person as I perceive them to be by their website.
Then again, maybe not... :D

Babarsac January 29, 2007, 07:20 PM Well one big difference is that a could never get a hold of Impact's customer service department, just auto-generated emails. An hour after I emailed CDNN I got a response from an actual human being :what: who took the time to answer my question.
I guess if their website looked prettier they would put Impact out of buisness.
Walkalong January 29, 2007, 07:33 PM Interesting. I ordered some stuff from them last year and had no problems. May rethink it now.
Car Knocker January 29, 2007, 08:00 PM I stopped in their old store in Ogden about three years ago. Twice. Talked to 3 different people and none of them seemed very interested in helping me. I no longer have any interest in spending money there.

yeah, a free baseball cap that advertises their business when i have to do the work of a private investigator. i was not obligated to do anything legally. if anything, Impact Guns was required to file a theft/loss report of a silencer with ATF and maybe face some sort of criminal charge or administrative penalty from ATF for sending a silencer to a person who was (1) not the registered owner of the device and (2) had not paid the $200 tax stamp either!
the baseball cap probably cost them the same amount as the gasoline i spent driving to the other place and lost time in phone calls tracking the thing down for them.
next time, i told them i'd refer them to a Private Investigator i know that charges $55 per hour to do the dirty work.
SNEAKS January 29, 2007, 11:54 PM Check out what they did to my christmas. My post in the rate retail section. impactguns.com (please read)

Im asking for your support in protesting an online site impactguns.com . They have jerked me around about a crimson laser grip that I had order for my dad for christmas on dec 15th. I had placed the order with a 1-2 day shipping to insure its here before christmas. It clearly said on the webpage it ships out within 48 hours. So on wednesday the 20th I called them to see where it is. I was told by a man named Shane that they had over looked it completely and it was never sent. He offered no apology just that he promised that it would be overnight shipped and I would recieve it on thursday the 21st without a doubt. I recieved the tracking number today and it was shipped ground .Called them again and he said that it was shipped ground by accident and it is already in route and they can do nothing about it. Once again offered no apology and actually got rude with me when I tried to figure a resolution to the problem just gave me the attitude that whats done is done. He said all they could do is have the ground shipping free. So it is supose to be here on the 26th. I am asking that you support a fellow THRer and protest the company and if possible e-mail or call them to let them know that you have heard about the lack of customer service from this incident. Thanks Andrew (Marry Cristmas)
mrsig January 30, 2007, 12:45 AM I like to look at their Web site, but I have never used it to make a purchase. I have had good luck when going in person to the Ogden store. I would recomend them. I have not made it to FBMG yet. I hope to do that soon.

A free baseball cap is worth it's weight in gold, isn't it? We actually offered to give the customer free merchandise for the mistake. Like actual store product, not a ratty a**ed baseball cap.
strat81 January 30, 2007, 01:09 PM +1 for a lousy experience with Impact Guns. Midway, Natchez, and CDNN get my business now if my local shops don't have it.
Dr. Dickie January 30, 2007, 01:16 PM I will not buy anything from them again. I did once several years ago, once was enough for me.
