I'm sure this has been discussed, but perhaps we could have a sub-forum to post Video/Pics, etc (call it "Media" or something similar)......?

Perhaps there aren't that many posts that would qualify so the forum doesn't exist....?

You could just use Youtube or Google Video and post a link. I think you can even post vids that aren't indexed.

Art/Derek: You're right - with all the video hosting sites now it's much easier to post a link. But that's what I'm talking about - a place to post the links so if a person is only looking for posts of that nature, they know where they are rather than searching for them. I was just curious because most other forums (of any nature) have a place for posting this type of material. I've seen several great posts now where people have posted links to vids/pics of their toys. I'm just saying it might be handy to have a subforum for such things. If not, that's fine too. The forums are already pretty much perfect. I'm definitely not complaining. :cool:

As it stands now, if someone posts a picture of his Remington 700, for example, it's in the Rifle forum along with the accompanying information, sort of a package deal. Do you propose that the Photo Phorum would just have stand-alone photos without discussion or information? Or would a discussion about rifles, with photos, be in the Photo Phorum and if there were no photos it would be in the Rifle forum?

I guess I'm not really clear about exactly what your proposal entails.

Okay - I see your side of the dilemma, and this forum is already pretty much perfect anyway (in my eyes).

I was just wondering if the idea has ever been discussed - in other forums (of other topics), there are usually subforums for people that post things like: "Hey everyone, here are pics of my X rifle...", or "Hey guys, check out this video I shot last time I was at the range...", etc.

The only reason it would be helpful to exist is if people are cruising through the forums only looking for pics/videos (which is common).

Since the forums are already separated by gun type (ie. rifle, pistol, etc), I could see that it makes sense to just have those types of posts in said respective forum. I was just wondering if anyone had ever thought of it.

No worries though; it was just a question I had to ask since I was wondering. Like I said, I think the forums are great just as they are.
