I just ordered a remington spr210 and it is my first SxS and I would like to know from any one who owns or has used them, are they a quality shotgun?

I just bought an SPR220 (20 gauge 20" barrels and double trigger side by side) and I like the thing. The finish isn't that great, but the function is up to snuf IMHO. I have only fired it at the range, but it patterned well with dove loads (not even target loads) at 40 yards with a full choke, was spot on in barrel regulation. It's a little tight like most doubles when new, but should loosen up with use.
If fits a little different, a little short in length of pull but drop is about right. I haven't bought a slip on recoil pad, but that should be all it needs if I find the length of pull too short for me in use.
The safety is a little stiff. Turning it off isn't so bad as trying to put it back on. I figure it'll loosen up, too, with time. It's automatic, though, so when you open the action, the safety automatically is activated.
In short, I can find few functional flaws with mine. What I really wanted it for is because it is so compact I can take it down and lock it up in the top box on my GoldWing on hunting trips and the interchangeable chokes make this thing really versatile. I even plan to take it on a few duck hunts next season just to see how I do with it. But, primarily, I'm going to use it for doves, small game, personal defense at the house, and perhaps some country doubles out at our gun club. I mean, heck, it was no more money than my camo Mossberg 500, hard to beat it! I know I'm going to like it, can't wait for next hunting season. :D It is also my only 20 gauge. I have a 12 gauge side by side double, a 12 gauge Winchester auto, a 12 gauge Mossberg pump, and a 16 gauge single barrel. I've been wanting a 20 gauge double for a while now and the Spartan seems like a great choice for a guy like me without a lot of discressionary income. Some of the Turkish guns seem a little better finished, but not many of 'em have the reputation for rugged function that the Baikals do. I figure this is a working gun, anyway. When I get more money than sense, I'll buy a Citori or something for the eye candy. The Spartan should do what I want in the field, though.
