On Bones last night, the main character(Bones)bought a smith 500mag,to carry...pretty dumb..but the show doesn't seem to be a judgemental-liberal-cryfest like alot of others. It actually seems pro-gun at times. The gun handling is pretty good(Finger off triggers)But she did flick the cylinder closed a couple of times.I can't wait to see if she shoots it in future episodes..justto see if there's recoil,or the usual Hollywood deal of none.

I liked the line in which she responds to her partner saying she shouldn't have a gun, "you're in America, get used to it."

I think trying to bang away in a gunfight with a 500 mag using no ear protection would be almost as harmful to the person behind the trigger as the one in front of it!!!

She looked good with the Smith.

I wanted SO BADLY to see her light that short barreled ported sucker off while they were inside the house with the bad guy! Talk about the Fourth of July fireworks show!
I don't own one but have fired one-one with a long barrel. It is memorable!

I winced when she flipped the cylinder closed, but otherwise, I approved of the stance. I think Hutch--Hodge--whatever his name is was less "you can't have guns" and more "you really don't want to kill somebody." If I recall, they've been over that ground before, and he is very much a "you don't want to know what it's like to have killed someone" person.
I think her response to him was great, of course.

<<never seen the show.....is she a hottie??>>
I only saw the show once. I didn't see the show with the 500 Magnum. I did see the commerical for it, where she said something like, "My gun is bigger than yours." Reply (from other person): "It's not the size that matters.......".
I guess with the shows name and now having a 500 Magnum......"she moans for the bones". I guess that would make her a hottie.

Somehow I feel slighed... When Bones stepped in the doorway with gun-in-hand I knew she was going to blow that guy right thru the glass door. But I guess they wanted to show that Bones wasn't some kind of gun crazed nut-job so I guess it's alright.

"never seen the show.....is she a hottie??"
Seen the show a couple times. Yeah, you'd certainly notice her if you saw her in public.
Here's a clip of one of the scenes with the .500:

Thanks for posting that clip. I never got the chance to see the show.
Now, after seeing the clip, I like the way she talks in this scene. "Size matters". "It's pretty important".....The way she says it. The other woman in the scene, knew when to leave. My kind of women!
