Why oh why doesn't Beretta have a dovetailed front sight for the 92FS?!?! The Brigadier and Vertecs have them. Beretta shouldn't be worried about Brigadiers not moving even if they dovetail the 92FS slide, because some folks might or might not want a beefy slide; but if we want a 92FS with a dovetailed frontsight we're forced to go with the Brigadier. While I can still have Trijicon drill and insert a nightsight for me on a 92FS, I'm SOL if I want a Heinie serrated frontsight, or whatever...:cuss:

How hard would it be for them just to fit the 92FS' with the slide that the Vertecs have now?!?!

How hard would it be to machine (or weld and machine) the FS slide to accept a Vertec sight?

Alternately, how about a screw on (Glock replacement) or staked (1911) sight on your prepared slide?


I have a pistol with a non-removable rear sight, but it's a nice sight and it hasn't bothered me; no need to replace it.

It would be nice to have the option on a regular slide, but I can't sympathize with you too much because I don't like the brig slide OR dovetail sight :p

I am sure there are gunsmiths out there that can cut the front sight and fit any sight system you want on there for you.

Personally, I'd love a set of Ashleys on mine. Maybe someday I'll have that done.

What hats? As for not enough meat, I think the FS' should be fitted with Vertec slides...me thinks they'll fit the same holsters.
