My grandmother gave me these pistols the other week and I was interested in the value of them. I've done some research and have an idea, but haven't gotten any one to look at my specific guns. The 1911 and New Service are in good working order and a lot of fun to shoot, but I don't plan on shooting the others.

My info says the 1873 SAA was made in 1901 and it says 1900 was the year they started making them for smokeless powder. The 1851 was made in 1863. And the 1911A1 was a commercial model made in 1947.

Noting that the prices are retail, not what a dealer would pay for them, and are based only on the pictures, here are my "guesstimates."

Value on the Colt SAA would be around $1500 because of condition. The Navy Colt would run less, maybe $900, again due to its poor condition.

The New Service would bring around $500. The Colt Government Model looks like it may have been reblued; if so, around $400. If the finish is original, make that $1200-1300.

Thanks for the information guys. I'm pretty sure everything is in original condition/bluing. These guns have sat together in a box for who knows how many decades. My grandmother just brought them out the other month. Unfortunately the person that might know more about them has since passed away before I ever knew they existed.
