Are there any differences between the Winchester RA45T and the RA45SXT in .45 except the numbers? I'm looking to get some carry ammo and I don't know much about good self defense ammo. Mike Z

I looked on the Winchester site but I can't find those numbers under .45 auto. Can you provide links to both?
If you're looking for good SD ammo then there are quite a few well known and respected options.

Speer Gold Dot and Federal Hydra-Shok are the most popular and both will do a good job if needed.

They are sold as LEO only rounds and I think are not on the website. They are for sale at different places, google either number and you will find them.

MJZZZ,
It's a little rude to tell someone to "go and find it for yourself" when they are trying to help YOU. I was more than willing to try and help, I even listed several ammo sites for you to look at. The least you could have done was to post the links rather than tell me to do all your' work for you.
I guess no good deed goes unpunished. I'll know better next time you post. I was tempted to remove the links I already posted but that would have made me as rude as you.

No kidding,, that was kind of rude. Anyway, why don't YOU (MJZZZ) use Google and find the Winchester Law Enforcement site. They probably have info you need. I'll give you a hint, look at the Winchester page real close.

RA45SXT is a collectors item since it has been out production for nine years. The RA45T is the current production Ranger T-Series ammo.
RA45STX uses the old black bullet with a brass case. I had ran across some in the past that was contract ammo without the black lubalux coat.

I really didn't mean to come off as rude and I didn't say "go find it for yourself." I only meant to relay the fact the only way to read what they are is to google it as they are not on the website. I thought someone familiar with them might know the difference. Thank you, hotpig. Mike Z

You are going to pay out of the nose for RA45SXT. The RA45T is the better of the two and costs less than half as much at most places.

MJZZZ, don't worry about it. :) I guess it was nothing more than a misunderstanding.

Dont worry about it there are those that cant wait to pounce, any how I use the SXT and have had no feeding problems or reliability issues at all in any on my .45's I get it for around $18 a box of 20 its not cheap, so I would only use to make sure it feeds well in your firearm and then for personel defense. Try looking www.the-armory.com they may have at decent price, I usually get it form my local.

BIGDADDYLONGSTROKE,
I wasn't going to add anything to this thread until you said that. I am not the type to pounce on anyone. I am always ready to help anyone who needs it, that is if I can help because I don't know as much as most people on this forum.
There was no reason for you to comment on what I said, it seems like you are the one ready to pounce.... I said how I felt and it was over. No need for you to add fuel to an already extinguished fire when it didn't concern you.
