After no luck finding some decent leather for the RAP/Astra, I resorted to nylon...and I am not at all dissapointed with what I found.

An Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 16 thumbreak pancake holster. Fits perfectly, and sits nice and snug with the body, and of course, is ambidexterous for us lefties. I assume that any other uncle mikes holster in size 16 will also work, but I happened to like this particular design.

I like the adjustable thumbreak straps...gives it a nice custom, tight fit. It was $25 and change at the local gun store...but I am sure it can be had for less on the internet.

Closeup of the retention strap. It is a hard rubber of some sort...nice and pliable.

The thumbreak part of the strap is a harder plastic, nice and stiff for easy disengagement of the snap...and the pliable rubber part springs away from the gun nicely for a clean draw.

I also use the UM #16 for my Kahr K40. Great holster for $20. I like it better than leather.

cool; i'd ben meaning to pick up a nylon uncle mike's for my RAP. just finished making a custom leather holster, but the position for it may not be so legit to draw from at the NRA range (4:30 position, heavy cant).

(anyone round here in NOVA have a digital camera? can take pictures and post them and tell everyone how to make the holster... i even have my pattern and everything)
