Looky what I just got today

Well, here I am, in a gun shop that I have never been too. As I am looking around, I notice that all the prices seem unusually low, not just on ammo/accesories, but on the firearms as well. I ask the guy behind the counter, "Why are the prices so low"?, he responds "Because we are going out of business and we need to clear things out." Well, by this time I am feeling very good about this place and I begin to really shop. I was glancing at the handguns under the glass and spotted this NIB Taurus 445 .44spl 2". Well, long story short, I got out the door with the new Taurus, 1 box Magtech Cowboy ammo and a cheapo OWB holster for $300, after sales tax. Now, I just need the $765 that he's asking for his mint blued 4" Python with finger-groove combat grips...
The action on this Taurus is a little stiff and the DA trigger is a little "stacky". The SA pull is better than my Colt Trooper and Ruger Security Six. I'm gonna shoot it tomorrow and see if it busts my knuckles with recoil.:D
Range report will follow.

Is that a discontinued model ? I'm not familiar with the 445 model designation on a taurus.

Taurus discontinued this model in favor of the same gun + the crappy porting. They then discontinued the ported 445 altogether, why I will never know. I got a chance to do a little informal plinking with it today and at 30ft, 1 handed I was hitting a paper plate with all the 15 rounds I fired. The recoil is less than my Kel-Tec P3AT, which was a big surprise. This is a keeper. Now, to only find a pocket holster that will fit:D ....
