Greetings Folks,

Just thought I'd post a quick little note to let you know that I have just finished a brand new firearms website... Yes a 1911 site at that!

As most of you know John Jardine is the man behind the Valtro USA project. What many of you probably do not know is that he is a Custom maker himself.

Allow me to introduce a site on the "other side of Jardine"

Enter a brand new website: Jardine's Custom 1911 Handguns (http://www.jardinescustom.com/)

Thought you'd be interested.

Charles

There are more than a few gun sites that could use your handiwork done on them. ;)

CGofMP,
The site looks very good. What program did you use to design the site? I just completed Internet Communications course last semester. The main point of the class was to learn how to build sites. We used Dream Weaver 4. I was thinking of buying the program and building some myself. Right now they would all be fake sites built for the fun and experience.

First off congratulations on taking the course... it will do you well.

To design a site such as that we use a full quiver of programs. I use DW 3, but that will be changing (PROBABLY) to an Adobe product soon. We also use photoshop, Ilustrator, Paint Shop Pro, and a few others for some minor things.

There is always some hand-coding involved as well.

I really love doing sites like this one as I understand the product to a better degree than I would understand say selling airplane engines and can work closely with the client. That makes it a blast.

Not to mention there are perks liek gettign to handle all of the weapons shown in the pictures and learning 100 other things from the guy that puts the metal in the mill...

Thanks folks for all the wonderful and kind comments. They are appreciated.

Now we just gotta get him linked here and there and mentioned on other websites and forums so people will actually SEE the site ! :neener:

You mean like this one? :-)

To find a non broken up photo you have to go deeper into the site... Starting on this page (http://www.jardinescustom.com/custom1911s.html) you can click through to EXTREMELY high res photos of 4 different guns... and I promise none of them are broken into little chunks like we had to do on the front page :-)
