Since I don't carry any semi-autos anymore I am thinking about carrying my S&W Model 19 or Colt Python in a shoulder rig. Suggestions or feedback?

I used to carry my model 19 in a Bianchi X 15 shoulder holster, no complains about this very rugged rig

I have the exact same setup as the one listed above. However, I took the target grips off since the butt was pretty thick and swapped them out with some thin hogues. They made it more slim under my arm and easier to hold on to expecially when shooting heavier loads. I not only carry it this way frequently, but use it often. I carry in this way while I'm out on the tractor, and shoot field rats, armadillos, and coyotes with it. Both the holster and the pistol see lots of use.

That big thumb on the hammer of the Python makes it not so smooth when drawing from an under the arm shoulder rig. I only carry hammerless style semiautos such as Glocks when wearing a shoulder rig.

I've had my 4" Python in a Bianchi X-9000 for quite awhile now, although I don't carry it as often as I used to. The holster is a tanned leather vertical rig, for 3-4" revolver or 4-5" auto, and it's ambidextrous. The (snap) strap to hold the weapon, and the hook-and-loop strap to go around the wearer's pantsbelt can be turned around for left- or right-handed users.
It's fairly comfortable, but it still feels good to take it off at the end of the day. ;)

I carry a 19-4 4' in a ready tactical paddle kydex holster. It's a bit heavy, and a bit hard to conceal, but I love it. Best move I have made is taking the target grips off and putting a Pachmayr Gripper grip on it. It's a great revolver, but it's heavy.

DAY-UMMM! :what:

A bit heavy and hard to conceal?? I'd guess that a 4-foot barrel is almost IMPOSSIBLE to carry concealed. :D

Sorry, couldn't resist having a little fun with your typo.

I guess I deserved that, LOL. It also would have helped to notice that the original post was asking for shoulder holster users too!:banghead:
