Depends on the locale and size/type of store in question, doesn't it?
At least here in Las Vegas it does.
The larger the store, free-standing vs in-line tenant, the better the selection, usually.
Do they have a range as well or no?
Smiths, Ruger, Glock, Kimber, Springfield and some of those funny CZ's in way of handguns at most. New and used.
The only problem with the larger stores with large inventory is the prices are usually MSRP and dealing is a lost art due to high overhead.
But they're all fun to peruse in way of the eye-candy and to see just how much value they place on their stock.

Then: Berettas
Used handguns
Revolvers next
SKS's, Enfields, Mausers on a rack in the floor
