Sight options for Blue Ridge . .

I want to swap the existing rear buck horn sight on my Blue Ridge .50 (39 in octagonal barrel; 1 in 48") percussion.
Got any suggestions as to what will fit (or with a minimumn of smithing) and/or serve well? I'm open to peeps, tangs . . . really anything.
Thanks!

Yep take a hack saw to the ears on the rear sight. Finish it up square with a file. (when using a file I always cover the nearer parts of the barrel with duct tape in case I slip, so I don't mar the metal) Degrease the shinny parts with alcohol, and apply some mustard, and let the mustard dry. Brush off the mustard, and you'll have it back brown again. You're done.
IF you really want to get the most out of the accuracy of that rifle, you MUST replace the front sight with a tall, thin, silver sight from Track of the Wolf, or other parts supplier. Probably cost about $10 with shipping. Then at the range, with a very fine file, remove little bits of the top of that sight until you're sighted in where you want it. It MUST be a thin sight, or you're wasting your time, and silver to show up in low light. Mine was a real tack driver when I did the above two modifications.
The final thing you need to do is check your patches. The Pedersoli barrel on the BRH tends to have really really sharp rifling. If it cuts patches you have to lap the bore a bit. Easy to do, and quite cheap also. Check it at the range first.

hadn't thought about the front, but that sucker is thick.
Patches seem pretty intact; so I think I'm good there.
