Help me pick my grips (S&W 25)

Gun will be used for some carry, woodswalking, and some action shooting occasionally...an all around gun, so to speak.
I have medium sized hands with short fingers...those S&W target grips have to go. For reference, an AR-15 trigger feels great to me, and I've decided to carry my CZ PCR "decocked" so that the trigger starts a little further back than if the hammer were all the way down. I know 'ol Skeeter was smaller than me, so I reckon any grips he had would be good. Any other recommendations?
Blu Magnum is here in my town, but he starts at $125!

As you wrote what you did about medium hands/short fingers - - -
When you go to the Herrett's web site
http://www.herrett-stocks.com/
looking for the Roper style stocks (The ones ole Skeeter favored,) don't order the Jordan Trooper stocks by mistake. Those are great handles, but Bill Jordan had HUGE hands, and designed these stocks to cover the revolver backstrap. The Roper stocks have the exposed backstrap.
The $125 price sounds a bit steep to me. Herrett sells the Ropers for $85, IIRC.

I recently put a set of Ahrends coco bolo's on a 4" M24. The fit and finish are pretty good, not too thick like stock and some others.I ordered from www.pickagrip.com, Don was great to do business with.

I have small hands and have Pachmayr Presentation or Hogue rubber grips on all of my N-frames.

Herrett's stocks are pretty good. If you have small hands, you might consider Pachmayr's rubber stocks, which are horrendously ugly, but relatively thin and very inexpensive. My slightly smaller than average hand likes Hogue stocks, as well as Badger brand, both of which are fairly inexpensive: under $100.

I have Hogues on my revolvers. I don't really like the finger grooves on the rubber grips, but they are otherwise narrow and slim. And cheap. Maybe a more expensive wood Hogue special ordered without fingergrooves or just the top one would suit better. Or the smooth Miculek grip made by Hogue but available only through Miculek or Clark... or Brownells.

Can you get those Blu Magnum grips finished. I remember looking on their webpage a couple years ago and it seemed to me that you had to finish them yourself.
Arn't those what used to be called Bearhugs ?

Blu Magnums can either come finished or unfinished. Unfinished is 40% off. I think I may just do that, considering I could probably go over to the guy and put my hand on the wood a few times fefore they're done.

I have wanted a pair (or so) of those for years. I too worried about the price. If I would have bought them when I first became aware of them, the price would have long been forgotten.
