We all know Peta's stand on hunting. Follow the link below and listen to one of their campaign director's advocation of terrorism. Please sign this petition and forward this to every hunter you know to help revoke their tax exempt status. Bush signed AETA, now I believe this is a good way for us to stick up for something we love dearly, hunting, and to help strike a blow against terrorism in the US. Forgive me if this has already been discussed before.

Seems like a worthy cause, but I'd prefer for them to just give me Captain IRS's e-mail address so I can send him my own opinion on the issue.

Yes indeed, domestic terroists all.
PETA
Earth First
and Greenpeace...
They all use domestic terror to forward their adjenda. The scarry thing is that my boss (a woman) is a PETA persn and knows nothing about their real tactics! I think almost none of those who donate to PETA know what is really going on with them. I personally saw a PETA idiot throw pigs blood on a person wearing fur at a Symphony in San Francisco one time...now decode this idiocy, throwing pigs blood on a person for wearing a dead animal??!!! Uh, OK. Smart, all the way to the top!

Don't forget ALF and ELF. You should show your boss this piece:

I find it laughable that people support groups like this. These people compare Jews and paople who died during the HOLOCAUST to CHICKENS! CHICKENS! I simply cannot fathom it.

For all the noise we make about housewives funding PETA, churches bankrolling radical anti-abortion groups, Saudis funding Al Quaeda, and other incidents where otherwise well-meaning people put up the money that gets used for terrorist activity - let's keep in mind that this isn't really anything new. Americans funded the IRA's terrorist activities for literally decades before the 9/11 attacks gave everyone a good slap in the face.

Americans funded the IRA's terrorist activities for literally decades before the 9/11 attacks gave everyone a good slap in the face.
They also supported Protestant terrorist groups -- Ian Paisley was actually given a visa and travelled back and forth between Ireland and American, where he was welcomed as a religious leader.

Well, the difference between PETA and the IRA is the US doesn't fund PETA, they used our tax dollars to fund the IRA so "we" didn;t really fund the IRA. Regular ( if you can call PEAT funders regular) fund PETA with their own omney willingly. WE as Americans have no say in where and what our tax dollars are used ofr unfortunately!

Please cite me the budget line item where the US funds the IRA.
Now, the US does support peace in Ireland, and to that end has sought to bring all parties to the table to talk -- not fight. One of those parties is Sinn Fein. But that's not the IRA.

I was responding to the other poster who said we funded the IRA. Here's what he said Americans funded the IRA's terrorist activities for literally decades before the 9/11 attacks gave everyone a good slap in the face.
I'd like to see evidence of the US funding the IRA but wouldn't be surprised.

Once again, I'd like to see the budget line item where US tax dollars went to the IRA.

So would I. I'll bet we would all be aghast at what and who the US does "fund" if that is the right term.

Until I see proof, I will take it as a fable that the US funded the IRA -- especially since the US publicly allowed Loyalists with connections to terrorism to enter the US freely, but not Nationalists.

Hey Vern, give ol 'card a callout, he's the one who said we (the US) have been funding the IRA for "decades" as he put it.

Card didn't say taxpayer money was sent to the IRA. He said Americans funded the IRA -- and they did. In fact, during the Tan War (the Irish War of Independence in 1920-21) Eamon De Valera, the President of the Irish Republic traveled through the US, collecting money.
But it wasn't taxpayer money.

Ahh, I misunderstand his meaning in Americans funded the IRA's terrorist activities for literally decades before the 9/11 attacks gave everyone a good slap in the face. I thought he meant we funded the IRA with American money meaning taxpayer money.

Don't limit sharing this to ONLY hunters. I don't hunt, but I can't stand PETA! I'm more than happy to help stick it to them, and I bet plenty of other non-hunters would agree! :D

PETA...
I will never understand how or why people fall into their line of thinking. Besides all they biological evidence that people need to eat meet to live a healthy, or how many lives have been saved becasue of animal testing of medications. This idealogy takes a toll on Human lives.
This is a link to Penn & Teller's BullSh*t episode where they expose PETA. Video is poor but still a good time.

I've told this before. I heard the story when I was in Talkeetna, Alaska.
Talkeetna is a tiny town at the base of Mount McKinley, and it's where you go if you want to climb the mountain. They have a two-story frame "hotel" there that looks just like you would expect -- a bar with guns, snowshows, and so on on the walls and a lobby with a stuffed moose. They also have a small park, about a hundred yards square.
The big thing in Talkeetna is the Talkeetna Moose Drop. They gather up dry moose droppings, shellack them, and put numbers on them with a magic marker. You buy a number, and all the droppings are put into a balloon which is released over the park. There is a target drawn with lime in the park, and as the balloon drifts over it, someone shoots it with a rifle. The moose droppings rain down, and closest to the center wins.
PETA wrote them a nasty letter, demanding they stop this cruel sport. They wrote back and said, "No moose has ever been hurt in the Talkeetna Moose Drop."
PETA sent an even nastier letter. They responded, saying they had a vet present for the drop and took special precautions to protect the moose.
After several exchanges with PETA, each time getting a nastier and more threatening letter, they took the stuffed moose out of the hotel, strapped cushions and pillows on it, and took a picture -- which they sent to PETA.:D
Finally, PETA realized they were being had, and threatened to sue Talkeetna for "fooling them."
