Just got one of these a while back. Great steel and nice craftsmanship. Only $50.00 at Bed Bath and Beyond. Oops, wrong picture, it is supposed to be a Katana series Caphalon....I have an Avalon too, but it isn't quite as cool as the Caphalon. Fixed, right pic now... HA!

Are the handles oval or round or oval "D" shaped?

A 7" Farberware Pro santoku (nope- a cheapo, $9.99 at Linens'n'Things) has become my favorite kitchen knife for slicing/dicing chores. Never thought I'd like the style till I tried it. Hey, it works- what can I say.

The set is about 300 tha suntoku is $50.00 and thay are a very interesting D shape. I felt mixed feelings at first but got used to it quick and love it. The other one I have is a really neat shape. I forget what they call it but I think I'll end up with the whole set. The block is Bamboo....very sweet.
