Belt or Paddled holsters?

Which do you preffer and why? Leather or other and is there an advantage with having leather?

for me is sorta depends on what I'm carrying............my Kimber Ultra CDP work real well in a Ross leather holster at about 4:00 o'colck. My PPK works well in a Uncle Mikes kydex at the same position. I think you have to try different ways of carrying to find what works best for you and what you are carrying.l

Doesn't leather contain acids that ruin metal?

It's for a serivice XD-9, i need a holster for it, not for ccw.. just a regular good OWB holster.
