I was feeling all down about the primer dent thing:

So to cheer myself up, I went and had my gunsmith crown and port it...Of course this does nothing for the primer dent "problem" but it made me happy, improved the groupings, and cut back on the recoil significantly.
He charged me a total of 32 dollars, and took 10 minutes to do it...while I waited.

I shot it again today...ran a bunch of Magtech HP through it...Not a hitch, and boy is it more comfortable to shoot....
Before the porting, I could only get through about one magazine...and I was spent. Yesterday I put 50 rounds through it, and today about 30. And my trigger finger is happy!

somehow a ported .32 ACP seems wrong :)
Have you tried firing from a retention position? If so was the "blast" a problem.

I have not...I will though, this weekend...however, I will do it with my eyes closed.

Fine. Although you should note that, depending on your shooting abilities, this may affect your accuracy.

I understand this...lol
I just dont want to get a spray of powder in my eyes from shooting a ported pistol in retention position.
I am worried about it finding its way underneath my safety glasses.

Oh and by the by...yes, porting a 32 ACP does SEEM wrong, but due to the fixed barrel on this gun, and the small grip, this thing snaps like crazy. It snaps hard enough to batter up your trigger finger pretty good.
With the port however, it is pretty darn comfortable to shoot. Right after I had it done, I put 50 rounds through it at the range....which is more than I have ever been able to manage.

yeah, my comments aside i understand, my gardian bangs my trigger finger up to the point that 30-40 rds is all i want to shoot...but it's still WRONG

you need a nice, seven port compensator and holosite on that bad boy.

would there be any loss in bullet velocity with that new muzzle-flip countermeasure?
I was wondering if that might effectually shorten the barrel by dropping pressure behind the bullet too soon.

Im sure it does, to an extent...to what extent, I am unsure....All I know is the NAA will port their 32 guardians at their custom shop if you want it done...So with that in mind, I didnt think it would hurt too much...
The bullet still comes out of the end of the barrel, and that is good...I didnt buy a 32 for its knockdown power.:D
here is how NAA ports the guardian...looks like 8 little holes, 4 on each side, 1/16" diameter each...And that seems like it would add up to more porting than the one big port I had done...In fact, I think I am going to e-mail NAA right now, and ask what kind of drop in muzzle velocity should be expected when porting one of these little guns.
