I'm thinking about getting an S&W airlite 32 mag. If anyone could share their experiences with this gun it would be apprectiated. Thanks..

While I don't have any personal experience with these, I know they have quite a following around here, and you will hear good things about them.

I am looking at getting an ultra-light unobtanium alloy snubbie for ankle carry, and right now the Taurus Model 731 is at the top of my list. I'm going to admit to being a wimp...I tried shooting a .357 load in a 18 ounce revolver once...and I'm never going to try it again.

6 rounds of .32 H&R Magnum(especially the Georgia Arms stuff) are nothing to be laughed at. From what people are saying, it seems to be a great match for the new generation of ultra-light snubbies.

Since selling my Taurus 731UL to a bud, I've kinda developed the hots for a .32 Mag J-frame, myself.

I can't believe you sold that 731, You always mentioned it on TFL. I'm looking for a small 32 H&R also. I heard a rumor that S&W may bring back the K-frame. Not holding my breath though.

I've got a T/C barrel that can just be shot with a rifle scope, where the .38 or .357 is too much recoil. Also flatter shooting.

A good friend's wife needed a totin' iron, and the 731 was perfect for her. He didn't have the shekels to swing a new one at the time, so I cut him a deal on mine. I know it has a good home, plus if he ever sells it to someone other than me, I'll kill him. :)

My Taurus 731 and my S&W 331 are my most carried snubbies.
The new Multi Alloy 85 might change that for a while though. It's too beautiful not to carry.

My next gun will likely be a .32 Mag snub-nose revolver. I just have to find a good deal on one.

Had a Taurus 731Ti, tried to love it but just too gritty in the trigger and I sold that puppy. I did shoot it quite a bit and found the .32 long fun, even shot .32ACP in it and they extracted! Luckily! Georgia arms was much spunkier. They load a 100gr JHP pretty hot. But this was no S&W airlite, which means ever 4 or 5oz. does make a difference with repspect to comfort. I had a 342PD in .38special and found 85Gr silvertips pretty stout. I can't imagine an 85grain .32magnum being any less stout, but I don't know. What I learned was this: the .38 has a much wider ammo selection available, and is cheaper. You can find comfortable practice ammo for the .38 and use better ammo for defense. Also, the .38 airlites are easier to find, around town-here in Atlanta anyway, than .32's. I do like the little round though, and you get 1 additional round in the snubbies. Good luck and do a search on here and over at TFL, lots of good stuff my Kentucky Rifle, Jim March and the gang. Good luck.

i have a 342-- very light--reliable--hard to practice with---

bottom line-it is a point blank only life saving gun!

hurts badly to actually shoot!! i'm putting .38+p's through it.

feels good knowing it's there in your pocket though.

just not very good past 10 feet or so.
