John Hickenlooper - how is he about gun rights? I looked but could not find anything about his stance on guns. I do see that he is Democrat, which doesn't look good.

I think I recall seeing somewhere that both Hickenlooper and Mares (his now-defeated opponent) planned to continue Denver's suit against the state over new CCW and preemption laws. It had been illegal to possess any "assault rifle" or open carry within city limits, and they want it back that way.

But then again, what do you expect from a large city? Buncha socialists...
