edit: I should know better; search is your friend. Previously asked and answered.

Howdy all,
I recently picked up a Steyr SSG 69 PIIK and was looking for a source for a spare 5 round magazine and a factory sling.

I was all set to slap a spare Turner Saddlery sling (http://turnersling.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TS&Product_Code=NMPTRS&Category_Code=PTS) on it but the integrated sling swivels are 1" and the Turner sling is 1.25". Oh well.

I've already checked the usual suspects; GunBroker, AuctionArms, GunsAmerica and even eBay, but got snake eyes on everything.

Any ideas or sources?

Take note of the discussion concerning Steyr's current situation. I had ordered mags a few months ago and am still waiting. They had 7.62 marked mags in stock but I had decided to wait for .308 marked mags instead which were backordered. I'm thinking on switching to make sure I get mags at all.

Interesting; and the difference between the two aside from the marking is?....

IIRC, the Steyr rep said they should work fine interchangably. But, considering the mags for my PII are marked .308, I wanted to keep things consistant.

ok that makes sense; I just left a message foe Jack Riddle at Steyr. Waiting for a call back now. We'll see what happens.
