I was thinking of getting one of those slip on grips for my Glock and heard about Hogue grips get stretched out in the long term. True?

What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

I don't know if they stretch or not, but I do know that they will twist during recoil. That moves the finger grooves to the edge of the front strap and becomes very uncomfortable. Mine were taken off, never to return again.

I assume you're talking about the slip-on grips? I don't use them, but a lot of fellow officers do. I've not heard of them slipping or twisting, but almost all of the officers use them over Hogue overmolded grips. They're real pains to get on and off, and the interface between the slip-on and the attached grip could be adequately termed a "high friction environment". ;)

According to my Complete Glock Ref. Guide, you should spray hairspray on the inside of the Hogue and it'll slip onto the grip easily.

One of my pistols came with a hogue attached. Its been on there solid
as a rock for 8.5 years. I took it off two nights ago and it was a bear to
remove. Once you get it on the handle, it ain't goin' nowheres.

I would just use a small amount of water when installing.
