Sig Short Trigger

I am the proud new owner of a Sig P220R with DAK trigger and she is gorgeous. But I am curious as to what the "short trigger" I can purchase entails. Is it simply set back farther or what? Would it improve the perceived travel distance of the trigger?
I think of the DAK trigger like a finely tuned revolver DAO and the weight of the pull is great, but I wouldn't mind sharpening it up a bit if possible. Is the short trigger a possible response?

HM,
I have the short trigger installed on my P239.
The purpose of the trigger is to serve those with small hands who have trouble reaching the trigger.
It is not as thick as the regular trigger. That's about it. Only those with small hands need apply. :)

Call SIG and ask. I modified the one on my 220 to that configuration back around 1996 before it was a factory option and it worked fine for my small hand. (Didn't make the rest of the gun any smaller, though.)
I'm not versed on the DAK system though so you'd best talk to the factory folks.

The "short" trigger is really more of a "thin" (from front to back as well as side to side) trigger. It will reduce the reach (distance from the backstrap of the grip to the face of the trigger) to the trigger by roughly 3/16 of an inch, making the gun a little better fit in smaller hands. It will not change the point at which the trigger cocks/releases the hammer or resets.
