What is the purpose of the fingerprinting involved with the ccw registration? I don't want to start getting pulled into lineups just because I was at a crimescene before it was a crimescene.

Criminal background check. Prints provide positive ID.

Hmmm. Most criminals are at crime scenes before they are crime scenes too.

No fingerprinting in Kentucky for concealed carry license. Proof of residence and backgroung check by Ky state police is required.

Not for the Fed's. I've had to submit my "black splotches" for various licenses that required an Fed.Gov background check. Texas Requires a Big Bro anal probe for a CHL.

Oddly enough... I didn't for my C&R???? I guess Financial Licenses are considered more deadly than a C&R?
