I had the camera out taking pictures of my new Colt WWI Repro and I decided to snap a group photo.
These are the three handguns that I own:

I guess I am a bit of a 1911 fan, but I think my next handgun will be a Smith & Wesson 642 with Crimson Trace grips.

Somewhat OT, but what do you guys think about the lighting in these pictures? What do you think about the table?
I think the lighting is much too blue-ish and bright. Possibly even too soft?
The table provides good contrast and brings some character into the pictures.
Anyone want to share some random pictures of their handguns?

Did you trade out the grips on the Colt WWI? No offense, but they look like they were dinged up kinda badly... Other than that, nice family!
As far as photography, I don't know all that much, but I'd say you need better lighting, especially for the Colt's finish to come out properly. These are completely uneducated guesses, but I would try either taking the photos outdoors in the shade, or else moving them away from the windows and using some good sources of light. Hopefully someone else on here can advise you better.

Yeah I think the light from the window over-powered the picture.
I did replace the grips on the WWI repro with some originals I bought off e-bay. I think it gives the gun a little more character.

Looks great Matt. It really makes me wish I can buy a Colt WWI repro here in California. Such a fine looking old school looking Colt.
