Please accept my apologies for my outburst. We've been experiencing some tough times lately. I know there are very decent good people on this board and I just flew off the handle.

I am staying out of L&P from now on.

Stay. We're still here. There's still thinking people here. Don't let the bottom rightists push you out. The unsavory elements are going to be everywhere. They just stick out more in the gun communities. You can't run all over the place forever. You do have a point. After time in the country with hard right cons and in the gun boards, I've developed a great dislike of much of it. I really think I prefer the worst gun grabbing liberals to some of these guys. This is already one of the classier gun boards out there. I met some good people I like, and a lot I don't too... but I learned to enjoy irking them when I interject into a circle of rednecks who have gathered, who are quipping their one liners and started their harumphing about something. It can be changed. Call them on every one and have a thick skin. I've already met doctors and highly knowledgeable people here who started to withhold their knowledge because of their experiences with the bottom right on here, who harass them by barraging them with redneck bumper sticker slogans, one liners and associating them with Hitler/commies/terrorists or whatever the morons like to do. It only degrades the place. If there's any gun boards good enough to try to clean up, this is one of them. But don't let the things that bother you slide, and eventually they'll learn to keep their mouths shut.

If you feel that way, there's no one forcing you to log in.

Dissent is healthy and I'd kinda like you to stay, but if you're gonna call folks ignorant if they disagree with you, then maybe you're right in that you take your ball and go home.

Personally, I fell that I'm less ignorant than when I joined a couple of years ago. There are Doctors, Lawyers, and maybe a couple of Indian Chiefs on the membership list, and at least one unemployed truck driver. We're all different.

salty.

The High Road offers a tremendous amount of technical firearms information that may not be available elsewhere, combined with some varied discussions of political and other hot-button issues. Because the membership is made up of individuals with deeply varied backgrounds and beliefs you will see opinions that you don’t like. If or when this happens you can either (1) go sulk, or (2) join the debate and post your own point of view and then defend it. Or you can stick to the firearms threads exclusively and ignore the rest. My attitude toward bigots when they appear is to cross swords, and if things get outrageous a moderator will probably straighten things out or close the whole thing down. If this seems too combative perhaps you should leave, but it is well said that the sure way for evil to triumph is for the good to do nothing in rebuttal. :scrutiny:

We can Ban you but we can not delete you, you can choose to no longer associate with us and we will be one less. As Old Fuff states stay for the Gun stuff and stay out of the L&P and you will find less hassles.
Thanks for your input and have a great day.

Lol, glad you enjoyed it. :D Those unsavory, redneck morons post far worse names on a daily basis. But of course, if it's used in talk which you don't agree with, it's a shining example of low road standards, but talk about dirtbag vermin mexicans and scum muslims is just being honest and not PC. Maybe you can find some others to harumph about it with you? :neener:
