I have a Taurus 651 in .357 magnum and my dad has a Taurus 905 in 9mm. Both guns are maybe a year old at the most and lately when we fire them, they both skip a round in the cylinder...not something we need happening if we had to rely on them for defense. Once we cycle through the rest of the rounds and come back to the unfired or skipped one, it'll fire. This doesn't happen all the time and I don't know if it's always the same spot in the cylinders or not when they skip. I called Taurus and they said to send them in to have them looked at, which I will do, but has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks.

I think you're experiencing occasional light strikes. I had this problem with a Taurus 85 Ultra Light several years ago.
I suggest you take advantage of Taurus's warranty and send the guns to the factory

As far as my 85...
It took maybe two weeks to get the gun back. It's been reliable ever since. In fact, it's my primary CCW.

Had the same problem with my 605. Quick easy solution: Get a 12lb Smith/Wesson model 36 mainspring and put it in. Takes 5 minutes and guarantees reliability. I have nice deep dimples. Taurus puts a light spring in from the factory to get that sweet trigger pull. Springs are available thru brownells or e-gunparts. It makes the pull slightly heavier, but not much. A fair trade-off if you ask me. Your gunsmith should have them as well.
