I have not and will not buy any revolver with the stupid key-hole in the side.

I voted for "any and all"; to my liking, of course! *

Particular model's are too many to mention; I do
prefer blued S&W's, but I have been known to
buy those with nickel finish or made of stainless
steel!:) :banghead: :uhoh:

*FootNote- excluding the ones with the internal
lock.

Best Wishes,

I dislike S&W for political reasons!! ;)

I prefer a lockless gun with a hammer-mounted FP, and especially prefer an older P&R gun, if I have that option.

It's kinda hard to find any P&R 329's, though, if you know what I mean. ;)

Any and all.:D

If I were to buy a S&W revolver it would have to be one without that stupid PC keyhole. But I'm not particularly into S&W revolvers anyway.
Now the SW1911 on the other hand is a different story.:D

I won't buy one with the idiotic key lock, and I'm still p.o'ed that they wont publicly renounce the agreement. The MIM parts don't wory me, and the frame mounted firing pin isn't really noticable unless you look for it.

However, S&W has discontinued every model I would be interested in buying.
So I guess that leaves me with buying used...........:scrutiny:

I like about all of them.

My favorites are P&R magnums, blued... like this one:

I preferred blued, but if I like it and can afford it then OK :).....

I do need more .44 Specials. And .357's. And a blued six shot .32 Maggie. And that 2" blue steel adjustable sighted .38 Special K frame I didn't buy years ago :(...

I will buy any S&W that is P&R'ed, stainless, blued, nickeled, I love them all.
I will not buy any post agreement, or locking revolvers.

Any that strike my fancy, with a strong preference for older, blued models.

My post-agreement, internal lock, MIM S&W Model 66 is the best handgun I own and have owned. I have on my "to get" list a new 686. Tired of reading about the agreement. Don't care about it and don't care to discuss it and dont care period. Usually don't even bother reading those posts. I will keep buying Smiths, so sue me. The internal lock doesn't bother me. I don't use it, but I don't use the air bags in my Jeep, either, but it's nice to know they're there if I DO need them. MIM has been flogged to death. Funny how only Smith gets slammed for this when SEVERAL firearms makers use MIM. Geez, read an engineering trade magazine once in a while and wake up. I work with MIM parts daily and have yet to see a failure of those parts and they see use from Antarctica to Africa.

Smith and Wesson....what other revolvers hope to be when they grow up.

I will buy the ones that suit my taste and purposes. No that's not every model, but it covers a wide range.

It is so all-encompassing, I'm not sure what it truly shows. I really like S&W revolvers, so I checked off every option except the very first and the last two. I gave up on collecting really old stuff some time back, and don't really care to own (any more) guns I would choose not to shoot because of collector value.

I own no pre WWII S&Ws, but am very willing to buy the right ones, for the right price.

I like blue revolvers best, but have an open mind about Nickel and Stainless.

I really have "The Wants" for - - -
A .44 Hand Ejector, either the Model 1926 (Third Model,) or the 1950 (Fourth Model.)

A Model 12 RB, preferably 3", but 2" would be fine.

A Second Model .44 Hand Ejector in .45 Colt.

A 637 or 642 - - pre-ban or second-hand only. (You have your opinions and standards, I have mine.)

Best,
Johnny

A Model 65 3" RB.

It's kinda hard to find any P&R 329's, though, if you know what I mean.I did find an exceptionally pristine M329 in a local pawnshop; perhaps the offer-for-sale reflects the same syndrome that I saw in an ad for a .460 Mag a couple of years ago...

Rifle and 19 rounds of ammo for sale [no, I'm not kidding...it was real]; I was about twenty calls short of picking it up for a very reasonable price.

The very light M329 has fast developed a reputation for brutal recoil; if you're interested in picking one up at much less than suggested retail, I'll be happy to give you the phone number of the dealer in Tennessee.

[yes, I was tempted ]

I own one S&W with a lock, only because I don't have a choice. If I can buy a used revolver with the firing pin on the hammer, with no lock and with no MIM parts, I will.

I have a Performance Center 625 (Jerry Miculek gun) which is based on the 625-8. In this case, there was no other option. All my other revolvers are at least 8 years old. I may want to pick up a nice Airweight 642 soon, and I'll have to get one of the newer revisions to handle .38special +P, which will mean a lock version too. So in the 642's case, the newer one is actually better (stronger at least).

I think most of us agree the best S&W revolvers were made between 1950 and 1990. Just like with everything in life, there is a certain time period that is the hey day of any manufacturer.

I'd buy any of them.

Right now the 617 is on the "to get" list and wishing for the 500 :D

I'll consider one if it's pre-lock, pre-MIM, firing-pin on hammer, and pinned barrel.

I am anti-S&W. I'm not a big fan of the new designs, but I love the older models. Anything before the year 2000 I would have to say.

I won't buy any made with polymer. Oops, they don't make plastic revolvers. I wonder why?
