HAs anyone ever used one of these racks? I don't know if they really secure the weapon, or how strong they really are, but I am short of space, and would like something that I can keep my shottie in that would hold it securely. Of course, any other suggestions are welcome. The product I am asking about is here.

As always, TIA

My son and I both use one. They are good. I installed a littl;e differently than the instructions called for. Keep in mind that the yellow caoted bar must be moved about 2' right/left. Cannot be put in the narrow end of a closet. I have added a 'drape' to cover the whole thing top to floor. What some dude dont see he wont steal. Also keep the closet door closed when not at home.

Do you need 2 feet either right or left, or both ways?

I am looking at the 3 gun rack. So far, I only have the shottie.

I have one.

It's ok to keep kids out, but an adult man would probably be able to bend it enough to get the gun out.
