As I write I'm listening to John Lott on a local radio show discuss the willful fallacies and neglected facts associated with gun ownership. His follow-up to "More Guns, Less Crime" is called "The Bias Against Guns." Anybody read it yet?

Reading it now, he makes great observations about the lib media
that we all "know" and points them out refreshingly.
Good read.

I'm also currently reading it. Very well written by someone who knows what he is talking about. The anti-gunners and liberal media hate Lott.

I have not read it yet, but I hope his next big fan is not him in drag again.

Haven't read it yet, but saw the review in this month's America's First Freedom magazine. Judging by some of his comments in that review, he seems to have moved more strongly into the pro-gun camp – is apparently now convinced that many gun control efforts are precursors to eliminating citizen gun ownership entirely.

Can't say that I disagree, but that probably won't help his credibility among the undecided.

The problem is that the only reading time I get is before bed, and I end up so PO'd about the situation I can't sleep.

Then the dog starts barking, and my wife cusses me out.

Thanks a lot, Sarah Brady.

I read about half of it. It is a compelling case. I have one problem thought with these economic analyses, they deal with aggregate data and it is hard to prove causality.

In one spot, Lott claims that gun locks have increased the number of rapes by some amount. It would be more compelling if he found data that show:

1. Women who couldn't get to their gun because of a lock.
2. Felons who state that they are committing more rapes as the odds are more in favor of their not getting shot.
