Went back to the store today to handle both guns. To make a long story short I decided on the Full Size HK USP45. It had to be ordered but should be in next week. Maybe I'm picky but I didn't want the one in the case. I don't get to buy guns too often, I figure it's my money I should be the first (only) one to handle it. A few quick comments about my decision if anyone is interested.
1. Biggest hold up on the USP had been the mag release. After handling the gun again I found the thumb and index finger technique to work better for me. Had tried one or the other but not both together. It felt like I could easily get used to that.
2. Higher capacity mags.
3. Sights. I like the 2 dot rear sight better than the single on the Sig. (small influence as that could be changed)
4. I have to say both guns felt very good in my hand. The HK seemed to point/aim a little better for me, may be the sights.
5. I just plained liked the HK. I MUST HAVE ONE!
The one thing I like better on the Sig is the decocker. I like the way it eases the trigger and hammer to decock position. Something about the hammer falling full force bugs me but is not a huge issue.
Anyways, thanks for the feedback in my previous post, I do appreciate it. Anxious to take my new tool to the range!
