I want one of these bad. Has anyone played with one of these. The barrel is shorter than the traditional slabside.

I had a limited edition MKII that was made for Davidson's (IIRC) a few years back. It was identical to that gun except for the gold-colored trigger and the grips on mine were checkered.

Accuracy was good as was reliability. I don't know why I sold it....

If you like the looks, get it.

I like the "shorty" also but the Slabside is drilled and tapped in case I want to put a reflex sight on it. :)

The "Pimpiest" gun I ever laid eyes on was a Gold-plated Lorcin .380 with pearlized grips.

I'll remember that gun to my dying day....

:D That is so funny!! I have seen some of this behavior in gun shops, though. Back in Birmingham, a guy was looking for a small pistol. He looked over a Taurus, but wound up buying a nickel finish jammatic (Lorcin, Bryco, something like that) in .380 because it was shiny.

I already got mine. :) MK512GCL that is.

I saw it on the new Ruger website and knew I wanted one. I probably should have shopped around more (I paid $300), but I'm very pleased with my purchase. It is even more handsome in person, and shoots great!

I got the one in the first picture. The grips are alot lighter but its a beautiful handgun!!
