Greeting's All-

Just to let you all know that if you need my services, I just ordered the NEW
3rd edition of Standard Catalog Of Smith & Wesson by Supica & Nahas.
If I can help anyone identify an old relic, or give you a S&W DOB please let
me know?

Regards,
Dan

What too ya' so long? :neener:

Well anyway you made a good move. You'll not only be able to offer information on guns, but accessories as well. This book is a "must have" for anyone interested in Smith & Wesson, and no dealer can afford to be without it.

Tolowski, I know the reply is is a bit late, but yours should be a 2nd Model. All 2nd's were made 1876-1877.

Dan & Fuff, thanks for the kind words on the book! -- Jim

Actually your book (I have all 3 editions) has made me a lot of money... :what:

When one deals in classic or collectable Smith & Wessons, ignorence is not bliss. On any number of occasions I have found great buys on variants that are more valuable them many people know.

And on occasion I have broken the news to another forum member that that "old gun" he just picked up is not just an ordinary example... ;)

And besides plugging the book I suggest that anyone visiting this site who is interested in Smith and Wesson's of any age, should also visit:

www.armchairgunshow.com and www.armsbid.com

You'll enjoy your stay...

I also have the 2nd and the 3rd editions, they are great. Particularly for those with a limited budget to be able to enjoy good classic firearms.
