Primer vs 22 - price question

Unless you’ve been asleep for a while you have noticed that the price of primers is going up pretty fast. Given that, why isn’t the cost of those cartons of cheap 22 LR going up too? It might be apples and oranges, but it doesn’t seem that a primer should cost more than a 22 cartridge with its powder and bullet. Am I missing something? :confused:

I think the price on .22's have gone up too. Used to see 525 round bulk packs on sale for $10.98 now they call $15.98 a sale.
