So enquiring minds want to know if anyone markets a less leathal rubber buckshot load (12G) that have been coated with O.C. (Pepper spray) to add some heat to deter pests?
I'M NOT ASKING FOR SELF DEFENSE / HOME DEFENSE so please don't rag on me for that. Just seems like a good idea that somebody'd probably already thought of.h

What's "less lethal" on humans (who are biger than most pests and also have access to medical care) is very often permanently crippling or eventually lethal to animals.
The best bet for animals is to either kill 'em dead or scare them off with noise and not flinging specialty ammo at them that may or may not do what you expect.

I love this kind of stuff!

I bought about a hundred bucks worth of stuff from a booth selling this kind of stuff at the last gun show. We actually snuck a "bird-bomb" into my brothers shotgun along with a Dragons Breath shell over Christmas while shooting clay pigeons! Scared the crap out of him! Childish I know.
But seriously the Fire Siren's sound like they may be right up your alley.
Remember don't cook anyone!

12 GAUGE FLECHETTE
A FLECHETTE IS A 1 INCH DART SHAPED PROJECTILE FOR USE IN TAKING OUT SNIPERS HIDING IN THICK BRUSH OR TREES. DUE TO THE PENETRATION OF THESE PROJECTILES, TREE LIMBS AND BRUSH WILL NOT DISPERSE THE DARTS AS READILY AS ROUND SHOT. THEY WILL GIVE AN ALL COVERING PATTERN WITHIN TREES OR BRUSH. NOT INTENDED FOR HUNTING. THESE WERE UTILIZED DURING THE VIET-NAM ERA, OFTEN REFERRED TO AS THE "BEEHIVE" ROUND.
AAHHHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHaHA! Snipers beware!
Good gracious I wonder if these folks take themselves seriously!
Thanks for the replies, I figured this'd fall into the carnival of silly 12G loadings but I hadn't seen it personally.

In most jurisdictions, if you point a firearm at a person, they need to be a valid deadly force target. The number of situations where "less lethal" force is appropriate is very slim. Further, if the situation escalates, you may be stuck in a deadly force situation with ammunition that is very inappropriate for defending a deadly force threat.
Too many ways to lose, too little to gain, with this stuff.
Plus, it ain't non-lethal, just "less." Ask the Boston PD, FN and Victoria Snellgrove's parents.
