Sorry if this isn't the right spot to post this...

What would you guys recommend for someone who wants to tote 2-3 handguns to the indoor range?

Thanks

I use an I Shot range bag. High quality, durable, good looking even after years of use. They are available from a guy named Helmie Hashilbie who is a regular on THR. <www.ishot-inc.com>

Dillon's Range Bag http://dillonprecision.com/template/p.cfm?maj=27&min=0&dyn=1&

Been using it for ten plus years, very well built, good size.

I have a ballistic flight bag from my student pilot days. Lots of pockets and can hold a ton. Not cheap but has held up great.

Check out Galls, they supply police and fire equipment. I purchased one of the police duty gear bags. This bag is hella stout, tons of room with large zippered pockets and dividers. Cost was about 50 bucks and they make great range bags! Ten Bears

I bought a really nice tool bag at Menards. Home Depot or Lowe's should have something comparable.

I use a wheeled luggage bag. I find they make great range bags and if you are hualing a lot of ammo they make the job a lot easier. Also they are generaly not that expensive unless you go for a super one or name brand. Discount stores and even wally world you should be able to find them for 20 bucks or less.

The best I have seen are those large open top tool bags with the carry strap. They are made of very thick material and have a tough hardened bottom. The hardened(its like tough rubber) bottom is great because it keeps the bag from sagging and keeps your stufff where you put it even when you have five 100 round boxes on one side and a 20oz pistol on the other.

Something like this (http://huskytools.com/Product.aspx?pid=0173e8cc-c801-4fc5-b47b-0b5dd864970c&cid=790926) will last you a lifetime.

Stretchman, I hope someone doesn't call the swat team before you make into the shooting range.

Large heavy plastic tool box with tray and lid compartments purchased at Home Depot for $16.00. Big enough to hold all basic tools, ammo, cleaning rods, and 3 pistols. Essentially what I wanted was a tackle box for shooting that I could leave packed all the time with most any ammo and supply I would need in case I get a 'lets go shooting' call. It doesn't look sexy, but it keeps things organized for cleaning weapons at home also (I like to clean them outside when weather allows).

They make pistol boxes typically used by Bullseye shooters, same format as the old Pachmyr boxes.

I own

Galati http://www.galatiinternational.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=GIO&Product_Code=PSBI&Category_Code=Shooterbags

Blackhawk, http://www.streichers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Catalog=Bags%20and%20Organizers&Category=RANGE_BAGS&Prod=BH-80SB06BK

Waller, http://wallerandson.com/on_line_catalog.htm

5.11 http://www.streichers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Catalog=Bags%20and%20Organizers&Category=RANGE_BAGS&Prod=RR-RB

Shooters connection. http://www.shootersconnection.com/shootingbag.htm

all depends on what you want. I think they all have benefits,

Galati often shows up at gun shows and offers seconds at great prices. WHile nice mine has been relegated to back up.

Waller and 5.11 are my favorites, my son loves the shooters connection but it is not as adaptable as the others are.

The waller mag strips, or mag holder are really good, The solid cordura pouches with a elastic top seem to last longer than just an elastic strip sewn into a bag.

The blackhawk is nice, really nice, but it just does not work as well for me as the waller or the 5.11

The waller is longer and seems to carry nicer if you are one who has to walk a ways from car to range. They make a double stack officers bag that is my main travel bag now.
