I have the opportunity to obtain a gorgeous Infidel auto knife for a hell of a price. I am curious where I can find a comprehensive guide to where automatic knives (this is pretty much a switchblade/stilhetto, etc) are illegal and if you can even have them in your home.
Anyone have any advice?

It's actually just as simple as googeling "switchblade law" "Indiana switchblade law" or "Indianaplolis Switchblade Law" or ask our own tilecrawler what the law is.
Simply put, there is no provision in Indiana law for legally having a switchblade.
2000 revision (current as of 8/13/2005
IC 35-47-5-2
Knife with blade that opens automatically or may be propelled
Sec. 2. It is a Class B misdemeanor for a person to manufacture, possess, display, offer, sell, lend, give away, or purchase any knife with a blade that:
(1) opens automatically; or

Simple enough. Thanks.
And it sounds like buying that would be... a bad idea?

Notonly is it illegal as an auto, it is also a dagger, as in sharpened on both sides, yet another no no in all states that don;t allow switchblades. Now a question, why can a cop buy one?
