Folks, last year I bit the bullet, drilled, tapped, and mounted a left-side scope mount on a Yugoslavian SKS.
You know, mounting a scope on the SKS is a little tricky; I wanted to be able to continue to use use stripper clips, so the scope couldn't project beyond the end of the slide, and it had to be positioned correctly for me to have a good full field of view in the ocular. I also had to easily be able to remove the spring cover, without removing the scope mount.
It turned out pretty nicely, but when I took it to the range, I discovered that I needed more windage than what I have, to move the scope to the right. What kind of scope rings do I need? Please be specific; the scope that I'm using is a small 1" 6x chinese scope, that is pretty nice for the price, but I need some type of ring that will allow me to move it laterally more over the center of the barrel. Your help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks so much in advance!

Without knowing exactly what kind of mount we are working with here, and assuming that it has a Weaver-type or Picatinny base, I've used these http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=374342 and found them useful.

If you haven't enough windage with these mounts, you will need to shim the mount but you will probably find them to have plenty to get you dialed in. Good luck.
