I have searched some older posts and see there is several pro's and con's with the Ruger Integral scope rings.
I like the rings, and think they are the best looking.

My question;
Are Ruger rings avalible on any other manufactures rifles?

Or are there any custom shops fitting them?

To my knowledge, the Ruger Rings are specially designed to work on the Ruger receiver. As such, they would not work on a different brand rifle.

If you had a cutter on your mill that matched the slot you may be able to modify a dovetail base. I don't think the Ruger rings are that flash, strong and reliable, but you can never seem to get them low enough. That big 'bolt' through the middle adds too much height to them. Check out the Leupold range of rings, they are nice. We are really spoilt for choice when it comes to rings and bases, too much out there ready to be bolted straight on to be bothered making it harder.

I find it interesting that other manufactures don't offer it with a new gun design. I would think the patent rights are expired by now.
I myself enjoy the hight of the rings, and have used the see through mounts on other rifles because of the hight.

That's not the case at all with my gun. With a 3-9x40 VX-II with a B&C cap, there's no more than a few mm of clearance above the barrel.

Brownells used to offer Ruger type bases to fit Remingtons, etc., although using a separate base kinda defeats the purpose of the Ruger system.
