My Dad and I are trying to find the average round count to expect to replace the recoil springs in his new XD45. Anybody who knows, please chime in.

Not sure, but from everything I've read Springfield offers no replacement parts over the counter; so you'll have to send it back to them for the change. Let me emphasise I have no first hand experience with this, I've just read it on this board multiple times over the last couple of years.
